The Defence Forces and An Garda Síochána need powers and better technology to counter the escalating threat of drones, according to the founder of the Aer Lingus Regional airline.

Pádraig Ó Céidigh, who is also a former independent senator, said laws to protect society from the dangers of drones should have been implemented seven years ago when he first raised concerns about them in the Seanad.
