Gardai have seized over €410k of cannabis plants and arrested four men in two separate searches in Cavan and Meath.

Two premises were searched in Virginia, Co Cavan and Ross, Co Meath as a result of an ongoing operation by Gardai from Baileboro. 

During the first search in Virginia, gardai discovered approximately €210,000 worth of cannabis plants.

Three men (aged 28, 30 and 30 years of age) were arrested and detained at Cavan Garda Station.

One man was released yesterday evening and was released without charge while the other two men were charged and are due to appear before a special sitting of Cavan District Ct at 8pm this evening.

During the second search in Ross, gardai discovered approximately €200,000 worth of cannabis plants. One man (24) was arrested and  is due to appear in court today.
