Gardai in Co Kerry have recovered a number of items believed to be petrol bombs from a house.

The discovery was made shortly after 8am this morning, following a planned search of a house in Ballyduff in north Kerry.

The Garda Dogs Unit from Henry Street in Limerick assisted gardai from Listowel in the search.

Scene of crime officers were also involved in the search.

Gardai spoke to a number of people who were in the house at the time but no arrests were made.

The items were seized and taken to Listowel Garda Station, pending a technical examination.

The house is located in a rural part of Co Kerry.
