Gardai launch appeal after teenager (15) injured in 'hit-and-run'

Gardai are appealing for the public's help after a teenage girl was injured in a 'hit-and-run' incident in Cork last night.

According to gardai, the the incident happened at the top of Laundry Hill in Cobh at approximately 8.40pm last night, October 17.

A girl, aged 15, was struck by a vehicle that then failed to stop and remain at the scene.

The girl was taken to Cork University Hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Gardai say that the car involved was dark in colour and they believe it went in the direction of Newtown Cobh.
