Gardaí seize €70,000 after raiding house in Limerick

Detectives have seized around €70,000 in cash after raiding a house in the south-west.

One man is being held under drug-trafficking legislation after gardaí carried out a pre-planned search of a property in Limerick.

Detectives from Henry Street were involved in the operation in Dalglish Park, Moyross, shortly before midday yesterday.

During the search around €70,000 in cash was recovered after gardaí executed a warrant.

A man, aged in his 40s, was arrested at the scene and is being held at Henry Street Garda Station.

He is being held under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act and can be questioned for up to seven days.
