Gardaí renew appeal after man (24) found unconscious on road

Gardaí in Dublin have renewed their appeal for witnesses after a man was discovered unconscious on a road.

The 24-year-old was discovered unconscious at Clonliffe Avenue, Dublin 3 at around 4.15am on Friday morning. 

The victim suffered a number of injuries, including a head injury.

Gardaí believe that the man may have been assaulted.

He was transferred to Beaumont Hospital where he remains today being treated for his injuries.

It is understood that the injured man may have got a taxi from the Phibsboro area at approximately 2.45am.

The scene at Clonliffe Ave was technically examined by Gardaí.

Gardaí are particularly appealing to anyone who was in the Clonliffe Ave area between to 2.45am and 4.15am on Friday morning to come forward.
