Garda probe after man's body discovered at house

A man's body has been discovered at a house in Waterford, gardai have confirmed.

The discovery of the remains of the man (30s) was made shortly before 1.30pm at a house in Appian Close in Arkeen, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gardai have said they are "investigating all circumstances."

They said in a statement: "The Office of the State Pathologist have been notified and requested to attend the scene which is currently preserved.

"A post-mortem examination is expected to be carried out tomorrow the results of which will determine the course of a Garda investigation. The local Coroner has also been notified."
