Gardai are tying to get in touch with passersby who offered assistance at the scene of a fatal road crash.

Claire Louise Bann (34), from Dromod, Co Leitrim, was killed in the incident when her car collided with two other vehicles on November 30.

The crash happened at the R198, at Cloonagh, Drumlish, at around 7.20pm.

Ms Bann was a mother of four, who friends paid tribute to as a person with a heart of gold.

Yesterday officers released a renewed appeal for information.

"Gardai are particularly keen to speak with any persons who may have passed the scene of the collision and who offered assistance to the injured persons, prior to the arrival of the emergency services.

"These person(s) may be in a position to offer information to the investigation team," a statement said.

Anyone with information has been asked to contact Granard Garda Station on 043-6687660, the Garda Confidential line on 1800-666-111 or any garda station.
