A major search was under way last night for a man who went missing following a reception to mark his wedding in Co Kildare.

Groom Stephen Warren (45) was last seen at 12.30am yesterday at the Killashee House Hotel in Naas, where a reception for his wedding was taking place.

It's understood that Mr Warren may have travelled away from the reception in his car.

His car is a silver Honda Accord, with the registration 06D18463.

Gardaí issued an appeal for information on Mr Warren's whereabouts last night as fears for his welfare increased.

Last night, family and close friends of Mr Warren, who is originally from Rathfarnham, began searching for him in south Co Dublin.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Naas garda station 045-884300, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or get in touch with any Garda station.
