Crime cartel boss Daniel Kinahan has appeared in a picture on Twitter alongside former world heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury.

Fury, who reportedly failed a test administered by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association and subsequently ‘retired’ from boxing, announced on Monday that he was going to return to the ring this year.

Far from looking 'fighting fit' the portly puncher has been spending his time with gang boss Daniel Kinahan.

Kinahan is under threat from rival gangs as part of the ongoing Kinahan/Hutch feud.

He and former boxer Matthew Macklin set up MGM gym in Marbella four years ago and they now manage more than 100 fighters. The gym was raided by police in September.

It was recently renamed MTK - Mack the Knife - gym after a legal battle with the MGM grand casino in Las Vegas.

Recently Macklin spoke about how Kinahan, the son of gang boss Christy Kinahan, had taken a step back from the company.

"Me and Daniel started off MGM. We were best friends and like I said I was over there all the time when I was training... so we set that up and it just grew from there," he said.

"Obviously then there's been a lot of bad publicity... Daniel has taken a backwards step.

"He still advises lots of fighters."

Fury and Macklin are not involved and have no connection to the feud or gangland crime.

Fury hasn't fought since he defeated Wladimir Klitschko in late 2015 to win the world title.

Many of those who spotted the picture on Twitter were quick to comment on Fury's current weight.
