Five men arrested as part of ongoing investigation into Joan Burton anti-water charge protest Newsdesk Newsdesk

Five males have been arrested this morning in relation to the ongoing investigation into the anti water charge protest on November 15 last in which Labour leader Joan Burton was trapped in her car for more than two hours.

The three adults and two juveniles are being questioned at Crumlin, Rathfarnham and Tallaght garda stations under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

Their arrests bring to 17 the number of people arrested in relation to the investigation so far.
