Eleven released as investigations into alleged sexual exploitation of children in Limerick continues
Eleven people arrested by Gardaí as part of an investigation into alleged sexual exploitation of children have been released without charge.
Six men and five women were arrested on Monday as part of an investigation into alleged sexual exploitation of children in Limerick.
The 11 arrested range in ages between their 20s and 70s and are all Irish nationals.
All were arrested in Limerick, Tipperary and Kerry and are detained at various Garda Stations in Limerick, Cork and Clare under the provisions of Section 4 – Criminal Justice Act 1984.
They were released today without charge.
A garda spokesperson said files will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Investigations are ongoing.
