Eight car collision on M3 leads to traffic delays

Eight cars were involved in a multi-collision crash on the M3 earlier this evening.

It's understood some six fire engines attended the scene, along with a number of gardai and members of the Garda Traffic Corps.

It is not believed that anybody is seriously injured following the collision.

It's understood some eight cars are involved, and one car rolled into a verge.

The incident led to delays at the scene. However, one lane has since re-opened and traffic is moving again.

Motorists are urged to drive with extreme caution as the road is very slippery.

Separately, a three car collision occurred on the M6 Dublin/Galway Raod westbound before J17 Athenry. Emergency services were at the scene.
