A Dublin man has died following a car crash in Spain earlier this evening.
The man, who has been named as Sean McShea (34), had been living in the Costa del Sol for more than eight years.
It is understood the he was the driver of a car that crashed at the entrance to Estepona port at 5am today.
It's reported that there was nobody else injured in the collision.
Earlier this year, the deceased was hailed a hero after he rescued dozens of people burning block of flats in Duquesa Port.
The former boxer had been on his way home when he spotted the building on fire.
He tackled the blaze with a fire extinguisher.
The Department of Foreign Affairs have confirmed they are providing consular assistance.
