A fire in arches close to Connolly Station in Dublin has led to a number of delays to Irish Rail services.

DART and intercity services have been delayed following the fire.

Dublin Fire Brigade are currently at the scene.

A spokesperson for Irish Rail said the fire is not on property belonging to the company, but in nearby arches.

The company say the Dublin Fire Brigade are now in control of the situation and they will direct Irish Rail as to when services can start running again.

It's understood the fire is close the Royal Canal near North Strand in Dublin's north inner city.
