Commuters travelling home on the DART this evening face delays after services were suspended earlier due to a line fault.

Services north of Connolly, on the Howth line, were halted following a power fault on an overhead line this evening.

Irish Rail first notified passengers of the fault shortly after 5pm, a peak time for commuters leaving the city.

The rail company restored power to the line at approximately 615pm.

Full services have resumed on this line but passengers have been warned to expect delays to their journey.

Dublin Bus have been accepting rail tickets for northside DART customers while the services were stopped.
