THE Champagne was flowing and tongues were wagging as a south Dublin shop celebrated selling the lucky €87m Euromillions lotto ticket.

Crowds gathered outside the Centra shop in Ballybrack and everyone was talking about who the winner could be.

“I have absolutely no idea who won,” said shop owner Dave Whelan.

“We don’t know who sold the winning ticket, if we knew that we’d know who won.”  Manager Simon Collier said he only found out that the shop had sold the winning ticket this morning.

“I didn’t sell the ticket, I was away on holidays. So unless my spirit was here selling tickets it wasn’t me,” he joked.

The staff were all in fine form when they found out the shop gets an agent bonus of €25,000, for selling the ticket.
