Cash, vehicles, watches and imitation gun seized in two separate CAB raids
Two separate raids in Wicklow and Dublin by the Criminal Assets Bureau has seen cash, vehicles, watches and an imitation handgun seized.
A large sum of cash in a bank account has also been frozen.
According to gardai, officers from CAB, along with local Gardaí, the Garda Emergency Response Unit, Garda Region Support Unit and Garda Public Order Units carried out a search in the Bray and Newtownmountkennedy areas of Wicklow today.
In total, five searches took place, with officers seizing €6,000 and £5,200 in cash, an imitation gun, imitation ammunition and a TV.
A freezing order was also placed on a bank account containing €144,000.
In a separate operation in the Dublin 8 area CAB officers targeted suspected members of an organised crime gang.
A 2011 Audi A4 S Line and a 2015 Citroen Berlingo Van were seized as well as a quantity of documents, mobile phones and five watches (including Rolex and Breitling).
No arrests were made in connection to either operation.
