Car overturned on motorway following traffic collision
A car has ended up on its roof following a collision in Co Kildare.
The incident occurred at around 5.20pm at junction six westbound on the M4 Dublin/Sligo Road.
Commuters are experiencing delays as the vehicle remains at the scene in Kilmacredock near Leixlip.
It is understood gardai and emergency services responded to the incident.
It remains unclear whether anyone was injured in the collision.
Those travelling in that direction have been advised to avoid the N4 between Junction 4 and Junction 6 due to building traffic.
Alternative routes include the R120 to Celbridge or the R157 to Maynooth.
AA Roadwatch have said that commuters can expect delays of up to 40 minutes between Junction 2 Liffey Valley and Junction 6 Celbridge.
It is understood that one lane of the motorway has now been re-opened to traffic.
