THIS was the dramatic scene in Killiney in South Dublin last night as two cars were completely written off in a freak accident.
The incident happened just before 10.30pm last night in the car park of the Killiney Castle Hotel, where the Fianna Fail selection convention was taking place.
Witnesses at the scene said that an elderly gentleman appeared to be confused and drove into the back of another car, which then flipped over a three-foot wall and landed on its roof. Miraculously, nobody was injured in the incident but emergency services attended the scene and the driver was treated for shock.
The incident was not connected to the selection.
