Appeal launched to identify body of man found in Galway

Gardai have appealed for the public’s assistance in identifying the body of a man found last Friday evening.

The remains of the man – between 30 and 40 years of age – was found near Barna, Co Galway.

The deceased has been described as approximately 6 foot tall with black hair and a broad build.

When found, he was wearing a black leather jacket, blue jeans, white and blue ‘Athletech’ runners and a gold bracelet watch (Caravelle by Bulova).

He also had a black belt with metal flower design studs and a silver colour buckle.

The death of the man is not being treated as suspicious.
