Appeal for witnesses following school bus and car collision
Gardai are appealing for witnesses following a collision between a school bus and a car, which resulted in 36 people being hospitalised.
A school bus carrying 40 students was involved in a collision with a car at Connolly's Cross in Caherconlish in Co Limerick at around 8.30am on Wednesday morning.
36 people were rushed to University Hospital Limerick following the incident, including 34 children, the bus driver and the driver of the car but it is not thought that anyone was seriously injured.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses especially anyone who may have been on that stretch of road at the relevant time and/or may have dash cams to contact them on Roxboro road at 061 214340, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
