'An Irish female icon' - TV producer pays tribute to Dolores O'Riordan
TV producer Larry Bass worked with her back in 2014 when she appeared as one of the judges on the Voice of Ireland.
He described her sudden passing as "horribly sad" and said she was the consummate professional when he worked with her on the RTE programme.
"She was not only an icon but an Irish female icon. Very few Irish women had achieved the heights that she had on a global stage.
"The Cranberries weren't just a major force in Ireland, they were a force right across the world. She was a dote for us to work with. She lit up the room when she came in. She was always slightly kooky but for us, we felt privileged to have someone of such an iconic status to work on the show with us."
He added: "Even though at times she was bi-locating between Canada and Dublin, she never once missed a show.
"I loved spending time with her. She was entertaining, funny and her outlook on life was so different to anyone else. She moved to a different centre of gravity than the rest of us mere mortals.
