Actress Saoirse Ronan tells crash survivor Dayna Kearney: 'I'm thinking of you'

Actress Saoirse Ronan sent a touching message to Dayna Kearney, who survived a brutal car accident which claimed the lives of four of her childhood friends.

The actress joined a Twitter campaign for Dayna this evening which is in full swing to try and get singer songwriter Ed Sheeran to visit her.

Saoirse, who is from Carlow, the same county as Dayna, told Dayna that she is sending her love via Twitter.

"Danya, I am thinking of you, your family and the friends that you have lost. I'm sending all of my love to you.... #messagefordayna," the kind hearted actress wrote.

"I can't imagine the pain you feel. Just know that everyone is thinking of you always and hoping you are okay. #messagefordayna."

Dayna remains in critical condition in hospital, however people all over the country have been tweeting the Ed Sheeran in a bid to get him to visit the grieving girl when he arrives in Ireland for a gig on January 24.

A number of high profile celebrities have already joined the cause, among them Bressie, TV presenter Laura Whitmore, Kodaline, comedians Jason Byrne and Dara O'Brian and Irish Olympic hero Katie Taylor.
