'A genuine loving person with so much to live for' - Tributes paid to teen who died at the weekend
A teenager who died at the weekend was described as a "loving person" who "put a smile on everyone's face".
Emma Doogan (19) passed away suddenly at Meelmore Drive in Omagh, Co Tyrone on Saturday afternoon.
Police investigating her death arrested and charged a 24-year-old man with a number of drug-related offences.
He will appear at Enniskillen Magistrates Court today.
Hours before her death the former Sacred Heart College pupil posted a heartfelt message to her sister Rebecca on her social media page.
Emma described how she loved her sister "forever and always".
Her grieving sibling said she had been left "speechless" by Emma's sudden death.
Dozens of online tributes were posted in the hours after the tragic news emerged.
Close friend Eireen McAleer posted on Facebook: "You were like a best friend and a sister I never had. You were there when I needed someone the most.
"You were the kindest and bubbly girl I ever met in my life and you always seem to put a smile on anyone's face."
Another friend, Lorretta Ni Dhonnaile, said: "You were an absolute star, you never failed to put a smile on my face or make me laugh, you were a genuine loving person.
"With so much to live for, we made many plans and pacts on how things should be and how we were going to make it happen.
"There was never a dull moment while you were around.
"From owing our own ice cream business ran by minions or dragging me out of bed to drink or walk to the shop or just sitting chatting for hours.
"You were a beautiful girl but God needed you more. No more suffering now princess love you and sleep tight."
Alliance councillor Stephen Donnelly said: "I am deeply saddened to see the loss of life at such a young age."
SDLP MLA Daniel McCrossan said: "This really is a huge tragedy.
"My thoughts, prayers and deepest sympathies go out to the family of this teenager whose life was tragically taken far too early.
"I know too well of the impact losing such a young person has on a family as I lost my 23-year-old cousin in 2013 to very similar and tragic circumstances.
"My family know too well of the devastation, hurt and tragedy that this will inevitably cause.
"No family should have to suffer this."
PSNI Detective Constable Una McKenna said: "Following this incident, a 24-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of class A and B controlled drugs and also supplying and being concerned in the supply of class A and C controlled drugs.
"We know drugs are a real concern for local communities and we understand the misery they can cause to communities, families and to those who get involved in taking them."
