THOUSANDS of motorists will be inconvenienced this week as a busy road remains closed due to subsidence.
The N2 south of Slane is to remain closed until the end of the week, affecting motorists who travel the main Dublin to Derry road in a north-south direction every day.
Meath County Council first closed Slane bridge to all traffic a week ago. It says that the severe cold weather "is preventing the laying of the hot mix macadam overlay on the excavated road surface".
