FANS of traditional music are in for a treat after a new music festival was launched.

Some of Ireland's most talented musicians will play at the inaugural Cuisle Cheoil Festival in Gorey, Co Wexford, this weekend.

Festival chairman Pat Kavanagh said: "Having successfully staged a couple of highly-acclaimed trad concerts in recent years, we're delighted this year to be launching our first full weekend.

"We have a fantastic programme lined up and we're looking forward to three days of top-class entertainment with concerts, ceilis, workshops and sessions in various places around the town."

Among the musicians scheduled to appear are accomplished fiddle player MacDara O Raghallaigh and champion accordion player John Connolly.
