Musical brothers back on the Barack bandwagon
PREPARATIONS are in full swing in the Offaly village of Moneygall ahead of the visit of US President Barack Obama in May.
And traffic stood still on Saturday as 150 villagers marched down the main street while the Corrigan Brothers filmed a video for their new single 'Welcome Home President Barack Obama'.
The Corrigan Brothers are the band who helped spread the word about Obama's Irish roots when they penned their tune 'There's No One as Irish as Barack Obama'.
The group got almost seven million hits on You Tube and travelled to the White House with Mr Obama's distant cousin, Henry Healy, for the US president's inauguration.
"They wrote the first song when the story broke about Obama's links to Moneygall four years ago," said Mr Healy, who appears in the new video.
