Munster's O'Connell sports a different red on stag night
"CALM down, calm down" it's not one of the "Scousers", it's Ireland star Paul O'Connell.
The rugby giant turned retro-red for his stag weekend, but he wasn't dressed in the colours of Munster or the Lions, instead opting for Liverpool's '80s kit, complete with "'tache", mullet and shades.
The picture, right, was posted online from the 33-year-old's stag party in Co Clare, with the caption: "Paul O'Connell on his stag in Lahinch now."
But O'Connell decked out in the red jersey is a once-off for his stag party as he's a lifelong supporter of Liverpool's city rivals, Everton.
O'Connell is getting married to fiancee Emily O'Leary in the south of France later this month.
Last week, he said he and his Lions and Ireland team-mate Jonathan Sexton had given each other a "pass" for their respective weddings. He said they agreed they'd have to miss each other's nuptials, which are squeezed into the tight window between the end of the Lions tour and the start of the domestic rugby season.
Ireland and Leinster star Sexton (28) wed his childhood sweetheart, Laura Priestley (28), in Adare, Co Limerick, on Friday.
