Mums in fight outside school

GARDAI were called out to a primary school yesterday after a fight involving an umbrella broke out between two mothers waiting to collect their children.

Shortly before 1.45pm a war of words erupted on the school yard at St John's primary school in Drogheda. As a verbal argument escalated one woman produced an umbrella and a scuffle ensued. Another parent, a trained nurse, tended to one of the women involved.

Both women, who are believed to be from Rathmullen, had to be separated by gardai who arrived on the scene.
