Mountain climber missing for 24 hours rescued in Wicklow reporters

A man who went missing for 24 hours after an attempted climb of Lugnaquilla has been found by emergency services.

The man in his sixties had last been seen at the mountain on Sunday afternoon.

Gardaí called in the mountain rescue services requested the assistance of the Mountain Rescue services and theGlen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and the Dublin-Wicklow team attended the scene to assist them.

The man was then found at a military firing range last night and was uninjured.

He has been reunited with his family.
