Motorists are being warned to expect delays on the M50 southbound this morning following a collision.

The crash happened just before the J9 Red Cow exit, with traffic slow on approach from J7 Lucan.

Northbound traffic is still moving well.

In Louth, there is a vehicle on fire on the M1 southbound at J11 Monasterboice.

Care is advised as smoke may be affecting visibility.

Meanwhile, the M7 is temporarily closed southbound between J22 Roscrea and J23 Moneygall as emergency services deal with a truck on fire. Motorists are advised to divert off the motorway at J22.

In Meath, the N3 will be closed both ways for works outside Kells, between the Drumbaragh roundabout and Derver roundabout, until Sunday, June 29.

Diversions will be in place via the old Kells/Virginia Rd (R147) through Carnaross.
