Motorcyclist killed after collision with car in Wexford

A motorcyclist in his late 20s has been killed after he collided with a car on the N11 close to Wexford.

The crash occurred at 8.25pm this evening at Ferrycarrig on the Wexford to Enniscorthy Road.

There were no other injuries in the incident with the deceased’s body removed to Wexford General Hospital where he will undergo a post mortem examination.

The road at the scene is closed to facilitate a forensic collision examination of the area.  It is expected to remain closed over-night.

Diversions will be put in place in the area, southbound traffic will be diverted through Crossabeg and northbound traffic diverted at the National heritage Park.
