Motorcyclist (36) dies after hitting a parked car
A male motorcyclist died following a crash in Blackrock, Co Dublin, yesterday.
The man (36) was seriously injured when his motorcycle struck a parked car on Carysfort Avenue at 4.40pm.
He was taken by ambulance to St Vincent's University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Gardaí have asked for any witnesses to contact them.
Meanwhile, a woman in her 30s is fighting for her life after a five-vehicle road crash.
A four-year-old boy who was also in a critical condition following the crash in Co Cork was last night said to be stable.
The woman in her 30s is from the Donaghmore area of Co Cork.
Three others are being treated for injuries which are not believed to be life threatening, while a further three people were treated for minor injuries at the scene by paramedics.
The crash happened at 1.40pm at Glencaum, about one mile outside the village of Rathduff on the N20 main Cork to Limerick road. An articulated truck, two vans and two cars were involved.
