Morning commute: Luas breakdown causes delays as crash reported on the M50

A broken down Luas and a crash on the M50 have been adding to traffic woes in the capital.

The trams on the red line are  now delayed by around 18 minutes.

Meanwhile there has also been a collision on theM50 at J6 Blanchardstown in the right lane causing delays on approach.

Emergency services are at the scene.

Earlier, a crash at North Strand has been moved off the road but delays remain from the Malahide Road junction in Fairview.

In Cork there were also delays approaching the Dunkettle Interchange from the M8 Dublin Road, the N25 Waterford and the and the N40 South Ring Road.
