More than 25,000 customers left without power as ESB networks suffer faults
Thousands of homes in Kilkenny have been left without power this afternoon as ESB networks suffered a fault.
Some 25,465 customers found themselves without electricity due to a fault from 11.30am this morning.
The service interruption impacted residents in Freshford, Gowran and a number of other areas.
“We apologise for the loss of supply. We are currently working to repair a fault affecting your premises and will restore power as quickly as possible,” ESB said in a statement.
Services are expected to be restored to customers by 1.45pm this afternoon.
