A delighted Dublin family raised a glass to their good fortune at National Lottery HQ today, as they picked up their Lotto winnings of €111,567.

The lucky players succeeded in matching five of the magic digits and also selected the bonus ball for the draw which was held on December 12 2015.

“I don’t know whether to laugh or cry,” one of winners said.

“I really can’t believe this has happened to us. It is going to make such a big difference to all our lives."

"We will finally be able to clear some debts and look forward to enjoying time together as a family.”

The family have opted to keep their identity under wraps but say they are weekly players, and will continue to buy their Lotto tickets.

The winning €5 Quick Pick ticket was purchased in Supervalu on the Howth Road.

“We already had a holiday booked but were seriously thinking about cancelling it because money has been so tight recently. There’s no stopping us now though – I can’t wait to get on that plane!

"We might even splash out on a dream family holiday to Disney later in the year,” chirped one of the winners.

Cheque in hand, the delighted winners headed off for a special celebratory lunch at one of Dublin’s top hotels, followed by a little retail therapy.

They’re looking forward to celebrating this weekend with a Chinese takeaway and a bottle of bubbly…or two!

Meanwhile Saturday's Lotto jackpot is set to reach a whopping €11m.
