Popstar Brian McFadden made a surprise appearance at a party in Dublin last night.

The 30-year-old, who recently split from girlfriend Delta Goodrem and returned home from Sydney, turned up at the launch of Harry's Bar beneath the Stephen's Green Shopping Centre.

Asked how he was coping with the break-up of his relationship with the Australian singer, Brian said: "It's great to be home. I'm fine and I feel good."

The former Westlife member joked that he may even play a few gigs while he stays in Dublin.

"An impromptu gig in Dublin could be fun while I'm here, so if anyone in Dublin wants to come I'll tweet the when and where," he said.

Brian is believed to be staying with his parents in Artane. He has said that, after several years living in Australia, he now wants top spend more time with his children Molly (10) and Lilly Sue (8) from his marriage to Kerry Katona.

Elsewhere in Dublin, Liam Gallagher brought his new band, Beady Eye, to the Olympia.

The former Oasis frontman doesn't appear to be suffering from his musical split with big brother Noel.
