The Wild Atlantic Way has achieved a "major coup" as a new, behind-the-scenes teaser video for 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' has been released with stunning footage of the west coast of Ireland.
Filled with action shots and outtakes, the video features magnificent scenery from Skellig Michael and the Wild Atlantic Way.
The trailer was released on Saturday at Disney's latest D3 convention in Anaheim, California.
Sinéad Grace, from Tourism Ireland, said that previous shots of Skellig Michael, in the last Star Wars film, did a "huge amount" for the area.
Ms Grace said that it was a "major coup" to have the Wild Atlantic Way feature in the video, and it was simply "good news" for tourism in the area once more.
Niall Gibbons, chief executive of Tourism Ireland, said that he was "absolutely delighted" that Ireland features once again in the behind-the-scenes teaser video of the eighth Star Wars movie.
The director of 'The Last Jedi', Rian Johnson, went to Skellig Michael with his cast in September 2015.
The location scouts were so impressed with the Wild Atlantic Way that they came back for a second shoot in May 2016.
Locations in Cork, Kerry, Clare and Donegal will feature in the film to represent the planet Ahch-To.
The film is due to hit Irish screens on December 15 this year, and is expected to be a smash hit.
