Masked men robbed cash-in-transit security staff and fled scene on foot

Two masked men threatened and robbed cash-in-transit security staff outside a post office this afternoon before fleeing the scene on foot.

Gardai in Santry are appealing for information following the robbery this afternoon.

Two masked men approached and threatened cash-in-transit security staff outside the Post Office and shop on Shanrtalla Road at approximately 3.15pm.

They fled the scene on foot with a cash-box.

Gardai report it is understood they left the area in car. No one was injured during the incident.

Gardai have since located the cash-box and recovered all the money taken in the raid.

No arrests have been made but enquiries are ongoing.
