A man armed with a knife has been arrested in a Dublin hotel after being tackled by gardai in the early hours of this morning.
The incident happened shortly after midnight at the Glashaus Hotel at Tallaght Cross in Dublin.
Local sources say the hotel had been broken into yesterday and gardai are investigating if the two incidents are connected.
Gardai were called to the hotel and confronted the man at the back of the premises.
He resisted arrest a number of times and had to be restrained to be arrested and taken to Tallaght garda station.
He is being questioned under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
Nothing was taken during the burglary and there are no reports of any injuries.
