Man stabbed after gang burst into his home in late night robbery

A 29-year-old man suffered a number of cut injuries when he was attacked with a knife during the course of a burglary at his home last night.

The victim was the sole occupier of the house in The Paddocks estate in Termonfeckin, Co Louth, when a three man gang burst into the property at 8.40pm yesterday.

Gardai said the burglars left the house with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The victim received superficial injuries after being cut a number of times during the incident.

No arrests have yet been made and gardai in Drogheda are appealing for witnesses.
