Man shot in the face in Limerick

GARDAI have appealed for information after a man was shot in the face in Limerick.

The 21-year-old was shot in the early hours of this morning at Hyde Park in Limerick.

He was taken to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Limerick where his injuries are described as non life threatening.

A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with this incident and is currently being held at Roxoboro Road Garda Station under Section 30 – Offences Against the State Act 1939.
