Man seriously injured after fall from scaffolding in Dublin city centre

A man is seriously injured following a fall from scaffolding in Dublin city centre today.

The man is understood to have fallen between 15 and 20 feet from scaffolding at a site on Trinity Street shortly after 1pm.

Emergency services attended the scene at approximately 1.20pm with Dublin Fire Brigade and gardai in attendance.

Advanced Paramedics treated the man at the scene before he was removed to St James' Hospital, Dublin Fire Brigade confirmed.

He is now described as being in a stable condition.

The workplace incident is being investigated by gardai and the Health and Safety Authority have been notified.

"We are clear of the incident on Trinity Street. One person removed to hospital. Crew from HQ plus ambulance with Advanced Paramedic attended," the official Dublin Fire Brigade Twitter account reported after the incident.
