Man rushed to hospital following stabbing in pub

A man is being treated in hospital after being stabbed a number of times in a pub in Thurles, Co Tipperary.

The incident happened at 10pm in Corbett's Bar in the town.

Gardai were called after reports of an attack on the premises and when they arrived the found a man with bloodstained clothing bleeding from the head.

He was brought to Clonmel hospital and is believed to have been treated for three separate stab wounds.

There were no witnesses to the attack and gardai are to examine CCTV to determine the circumstances leading up to the row.

The victim is 31-years-old and his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
