Man killed after motorcycle hits wall

A MAN has been killed after the motorcycle he was driving struck a wall.

Gardaí are investigating the incident at Ballinaclough, Pallasgreen, Co. Limerick at 3.30pm on Sunday.

The man, who was in his 30s, was pronounced dead a the scene. There was no other vehicle involved in the crash.

The man's body has been removed to University Hospital Limerick where a post mortem examination will be carried out Monday.

The road at the scene of the collision is closed pending an examination of the area by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and diversions are in place.

He is the second motorcyclist to be killed on the roads over the weekend.
