Man in his thirties killed - and another injured - after car leaves road and overturns

A man was killed in a car crash in Co Roscommon last night.

The driver of the car, in his late thirties, was pronounced dead at the scene of the single vehicle collision.

The incident occurred at Cam Hill, Brideswell at approximately 10.30pm.

A male passenger, aged in his mid-thirties, was taken to Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe, Co Galway.

No other injuries were reported at the scene.

The collision occurred on the R363 between Dysart and Brideswell when the car left the road and overturned.

The scene is preserved and the R363 is currently closed at Cam Hill to facilitate Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

Diversions are in place.
