Man in his 50s arrested in connection with the death of pensioner (92)

A man in his 50s has been arrested in connection with the death of a pensioner in 2009.

James Mulqueen (92) was found dead in his home in Ballymakery, Kilcolman, Co. Limerick on October 23, 2009.

Gardai arrested the man in the Limerick area and he is currently detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Henry Street Garda Station.

Gardai first thought James Mulqueen (92), from Kilcolman, Ardagh, Co Limerick, died of natural causes.

However, after the post morterm officers upgraded the probe and have been treating the death as suspicious.
