Man in his 30s killed in a road collision this morning

A man in his 30s has been killed in a road collision in Limerick today.

At around 10.30am, emergency services were called to the scene on the M7 between J28 and J29.

Units from Limerick City Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene where the man in his 30s was pronounced dead.

The deceased was the only occupant of the car.

The scene is  preserved for Forensic Collision Investigation and the motorway is closed northbound between junction 29 (Ballysimon) and  Junction 28 (Castletroy). 

Diversions are in place for motorway users.
