Man escapes as four shots fired into home
A MAN narrowly escaped with his life after four shots were fired at him as he was in the front room of a house.
Gardai in Limerick believe the gun attack on the home in Moyross is connected to a stabbing incident last July.
The gun attack, which is understood to be the first shooting in Limerick this year, comes two days after Moyross residents received the keys to 34 regeneration homes.
A lone gunman opened fire from a handgun on the house in the Delmege Park area of Moyross at 7.40pm on Wednesday.
Four shots were fired into the sitting room where a man sat. The shots missed him.
Tensions have increased in Moyross following last year's murder of Robert Sheehan outside the Bunratty Castle Hotel. Gardai believe that Sheehan was targeted after he stabbed a criminal in Moyross.
